One life. Many stories.

Hi, I’m Anne.
My story has many twists and turns and I’ve learned to hug the bends in the road. I’ve been poor; suffered domestic violence; gone through a divorce; dealt with my children’s father’s suicide; raised two children as a single mother; suffered a mini-stroke; lost jobs; had eye surgery to prevent the further deterioration of degenerative myopia; suffered a chronic illness for fifteen years; navigated within the confines of a blended-family dynamic; got divorced a second time; and, experienced the complete collapse of my self-esteem. Life can be hard.

Life has offered up some amazing moments, too. I’ve hitchhiked across Europe with my best friend; I’ve hiked across three Canadian provinces with my big Husky/Lab named Samson; lived in a tent with my two-year-old daughter for almost three months; was an off-season camp watcher of an exclusive heli-fishing resort in northern B.C.; climbed the corporate ladder; made sound real estate investments; and, opened up to love... again, and again, and again. I’m grateful for my two grown children who are genuine, smart, loving and well-adjusted (a bit of a miracle if you ask me... the well-adjusted part, I mean).

I’m happy to say I’ve gained wisdom through all these experiences. They have provided me with a bucketful of stories, too. I write about my experience in book format, lyrics, short stories, and blog posts.

Thanks for dropping by. I'm glad you're here.
